In 2025, the MSPQC launched the I Gave Birth Bracelet Initiative, an effort designed to improve postpartum care and increase awareness of pregnancy-related complications that can occur up to one year after childbirth. The initiative introduced a simple visual alert bracelet to help healthcare providers quickly recognize when a patient has recently given birth and ensure timely, appropriate care.
We are grateful for the tremendous support this initiative has received from hospitals and healthcare partners across Mississippi. Participation grew across the state, reflecting a shared commitment to improving maternal health outcomes and helping mothers receive timely care when they need it most.
MSPQC will conclude the I Gave Birth Bracelet Initiative in July 2026. We appreciate the support and participation of hospitals, healthcare providers, and partners across Mississippi who helped make this project a success.
