The MSPQC team had the privilege of presenting at the National Network of Perinatal Quality
Collaboratives (NNPQC) meeting in May 2025. The presentation highlighted MSPQC’s
collaboration with the state AIM program and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi on
implementing the Postpartum Discharge Transition AIM Safety Bundle, which focuses on
improving maternal safety during the critical postpartum period.
Senior Program Manager Monica Stinson and Program Manager Candice Green led the
presentation, sharing strategies for engaging and supporting hospital teams, promoting timely
postpartum follow-up care, collecting and using data, and ensuring equitable discharge education
for birthing people across Mississippi. This national platform allowed MSPQC to spotlight
Mississippi’s progress and share practical, community-informed approaches that are helping
reduce postpartum complications and improve continuity of care for families statewide.
