MSPQC Annual Conference Brings Together Perinatal Leaders from Across Mississippi

The Mississippi Perinatal Quality Collaborative (MSPQC) welcomed nearly 300 healthcare professionals, community partners, and maternal and infant health advocates to its Annual Conference on April 23–24 at the Westin Jackson.
The conference began with two preconference sessions: Philips’ interactive Preemie for a Day experience and a fetal monitoring course sponsored by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi. Keynote speaker Jen Hamilton opened the conference with a presentation on creating empowered patient experiences.
Additional sessions addressed topics including cardiovascular disease in pregnancy, patient and family engagement and the MSPQC M.O.M survey, and midwifery care in Mississippi.
The conference provided an opportunity for participants from across the state to learn, collaborate, and advance efforts to improve maternal and infant health outcomes in Mississippi.
